Brian Sea is an independent producer of live performance based in Los Angeles. His work includes experimental projects shaped by space and context. He produces new work through a range of collaborations, including his project studio, Standard Stages. He has led projects with CAP UCLA, The Industry, MOCA, OUTsider Festival, LACE, homeLA, Metro Arts, Los Angeles Performance Practice, and 2220 Arts & Archives.
He serves as production director and producer for the orchestral collective Wild Up, overseeing the company’s productions and touring, including performances at Walt Disney Concert Hall, 92NY, and Big Ears Festival. Recent Standard Stages projects include WAKE (Jay Carlon) and APOLAKI: Opera of the Scorched Earth (Micaela Tobin). With The Industry, he has produced the world premieres of The Comet / Poppea (Yuval Sharon) and STAR CHOIR (Malik Gaines & Alexandro Segade). Brian received his MFA from California Institute of the Arts.
